Hallo,

I have installed BCB4-Enterprise with all available Options. Looking in
BDE-Aadmin->Konfiguration->Driver->Native I can just see PARADOX and
DBASE. I am missing the other native drivers like INTERBASE and MSACCESS.

What is wrong and how can I get these drivers work?

Thanks in advance,
Andreas Gretenkord

Installation programs seem to have a large number of problems getting the
BDE installed properly when another BDE-using app was originally installed.
Someone obviously thought that there would never be more than one
application developed on Borland tools installed on any one machine. It
looks like the standard answer is going to be, instead of solving
intallation problems with the BDE "Well, just don't use the BDE any more!".
Unfortunately, those of us that took a couple of years developing apps that
use the BDE don't want to invest an infinite amount of time in responding to
whim.

The only solution that I have seen here in the newsgroup that recognizes the
fact that the BDE is used by people, essentially tells us to clean the
registry and try it again. Whether or not it is going to take a complete
deinstall, registry clean, and reinstall is left to an answer from someone
at Borland that is familiar with the problem.
