I have a program compiled by D4, using BDE 5.01, with 2 clients.
For this reason(more than one client want to use the program), i have set
the 'local share' to 'true', but after i do that, i get "index out of date"
and "unknown internal operating system error", can anyone help me solve this
problem?
Thanks for help.

I am having the same problem with this message on a Delphi system that has
just
been installed. The server is NT but the software works fine on other NT
servers with heavier usage. The software always runs on the workstations and
BDE is not
installed on the server. Local Share is always set to true as my reading of
the help file suggested that this is best and as I say the program works
fine on other NT servers. Are there any other causes.
>Unknown Internal Operating System Error.
This error is sometimes caused by a missing BDE file from the system.
IIRC, there is a TI (or FAQ) on the Borland web page which documents this.
Essentially, your BDE is not properly installed if this is the cause...
