skyrmion, DMI and exchange

Hi, Serban,

I noticed in the Boris manual that when setting up a skyrmion, the DMI module needs to be enabled while the exchange module is disabled. Why is that? When I enable both modules and perform relaxation, the skyrmion doesn't form.

Hi Zhiyu,

DMI module also includes direct exchange, and for this reason the DMI and exchange modules are mutually exclusive. If you add the exchange module after the DMI one, then only exchange will be present, without DMI.
