Hello everyone,

Has anyone tried using ABL (Absorbing Boundary Layer) in Boris? I tried it for a rectangular YIG film for the Gilbert damping constant. At some adequate values (I set the damping at the ends of the structure to 1), no absorption is observed. For 1000 or more, it is visible that absorption occurs for abl_pol, but the entire spectrum of surface spin waves for this field is still noisy due to the resulting reflected waves, as I understand it. What values should I be looking at? Maybe the damping value needs to be somehow renormalized?

I also tried to split the rectangle into regions with different damping values myself and set the value for each region using shape_setparam, but I didn't get any good results either. I would be glad for any advice and ideas!
