YPSILANTI BORDER-TO-BORDER TRAIL WALK
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5TH, 1PM
BOMBADILL’S CAFÉ, 217 MICHIGAN AVENUE, YPSILANTI
ALTERNATIVE “SHADOW ART FAIR” STARTING POINT CORNER BREWERY, CORNER OF FOREST AND NORRIS STREETS. WALK STARTS FROM THIS LOCATION AT 12:30pm.
Join other area residents on a short (45 minute to 1 hour) walk on proposed segment of the cross-county Border To Border Trail in the Ypsilanti Water Street development area.
The walk will be along the north shore of the Huron River where local residents are working to create a temporary wood-chip surface trail until such a time when a more permanent surface can be constructed. Those participating are asked to wear sturdy footwear.
The Border To Border Trail, of which major segments have been completed, will span across Washtenaw County, roughly following the Huron River. The pathway will connect communities, parks, and educational facilities, and be approximately 35 miles in length. In addition, other facilities, such as bike lanes, will connect into the Border To Border Trail, helping create a larger non-motorized network in the County.
