Bootstrap 5 update?

Is there a Bootstrap 5 update in the works? I'm not content with the html5 date field as it provides little in the way of options, and I loved DatePicker in previous Bootstrap versions.

I actually have it working in BS5, but autoclose doesn't work as it should and I know it's not really designed for BS5.
