Just in time for Halloween, we had ourselves a brief scare on Thursday the 31st.
A small number of WeScheme users experienced error messages at around 3:45 PST, which continued until around 4pm PST. Our brave admin jumped into the mix the moment this was reported, and was shocked to see that the same login code that had been running for weeks was suddenly returning an error!
WeScheme relies on both Google and Amazon for various services, and these two are probably the most reliable clouds on the planet. Unfortunately, even they aren't immune to bugs, and when AppEngine started hiccuping, WeScheme started hiccuping too. Fortunately, Google's engineers seem to have jumped to the rescue within minutes, and AppEngine began working properly at around 4pm PST.
Anyway, we hope this didn't disrupt anyone's candy-collection activities. Special thanks to those of your who reported the issue, which allowed us to respond as quickly as possible!
