Beach Haven Bush Walk (18-Jul)

Time for a good old winter walk in the lovely bushy Beach Haven on the North Shore of Auckland.
We'll walk through a mix of bush tracks, park paths and some roads to loop around the beachhaven suburb.
Will likely walk through these parks: Tui, Shepherds, Eskdale and by the estuary. The walk will be easy and pleasant, maybe a bit muddy in places. Should be some Kauri to spot also.
Aiming for between 8-12km, around 3-4 hours.
Will stop for lunch somewhere along the way.
Bring along your lunch, raincoat, and walking shoes.

Can get a coffee at the General Haven afterwards for this keen.

If the weather is looking dire then the event will be postponed but will make a call first thing in the morning. Hopefully the weather is as per the photo!

Meet Shepherds Park Cresta road entrance where the squash club is.

Hello!

So the weather outlook has improved a lot for tomorrow but do come prepared for a little rain during the way. There will be bush cover for half of it. There are some steps on the walk but nothing too difficult.

Parking and meeting point in the main Shepherds park carpark off beach haven road by the very cool playground. 10:30 departure time from there.
Its also 400m from the cafe which is where we end the walk.

Expecting a big turnout 😀
