Boots'n All 2020 + Beyond Plans – Where to from here?

Hi there,
Thanks to everyone who read and filled in the ‘Boots’n All 2020 + Beyond Survey.’ Appreciate the time taken and especially the thoughtful written feedback and other ideas given. Please take our apologies as we are unable to respond to each of you individually. Also gold stars to the few of you interested in potentially help out with an event. We have our next leadership meeting in a fortnight to lock down some events.
But in the meantime, here is a high level overview of what the membership base feedback was:
Obvious short term decisions:
* Easter – lots of people already busy so we will not be doing an event.
* Motutapu Dual – not enough interest/availability so we will not be having official BnA presence.
What might future events look like - Highest ranking events by interest:
Single day activities:
1. Day walk (within the wider Auckland region)
2. Day walk (within Auckland city limits)
3. Stand up Paddle Boarding
Weekenders:
1. The Pinnacles Hike Overnighter
2. Taupo Mountain Biking, Hot Pools and Camping
3. Rotorua Mountain Biking/ Hiking /Chilling
Multi-day adventures:
1. Lake Waikaremoana Great Walk
2. Off the busy Great Walks beaten tracks in Mt Aspiring/Fiordland/Mt Cook
3. Overland Track - Tasmania, Australia Tramp
If you’re passionate about any of the above events happening, please let us know if you could help out in any way or pair up with one of the existing leaders to co-host the event.
Themes from feedback – Advance Planning:
Appreciate a lot of people would like an event calendar for a few months out so you can plan in advance to be able to come to our events. Fair enough, we’re seeking to, but realistically it’s quite tricky with only a few leaders with free time to organise everything… do you have the available free time this year and ability to nominate yourself as a candidate for the leadership team?
