Queens Birthday Weekend @ Mangawhai (30/5-1/6)

Hello guys, Queens birthday is the 1st Monday of June so its the 1st of June for 2020! That means a long weekend at the start of winter but no problems, lets celebrate in style!

We've managed to secure a nice new lodge (or two) at Moirs Point Mangawhai Camp at the beautiful and idyllic Mangawhai for this long weekend to give B'n'Aers a chance to get away for the long weekend and relax in the winterless Northland.

Plenty to do up in this part of the country. Listing a few here: Mangawhai Heads cliff walkway, beach/surfing/winter swim, Waipu Caves trip, Mangawhai Activity Zone (Kids and adults!!!), Tanekaha Walks, MTB tracks. Or you could relax, check out the awesome coffee shops and amazing fish and chips!

Each Lodge sleeps 10-12 people and there are 3, however numbers will be limited and I am only reserving lodges as I get the critical numbers of commitment. I don't know if the other lodges will book out in the meantime so right now numbers are limited so first in first serve!!!

The deposit is $80 which is the cost for the accommodation per person for the long weekend.

Decided to make this a Sat-Mon event so we can drive up first thing Sat morning (30th May) without fighting traffic on Friday and we can check in from 12PM. It's about a 1.5-2 hour trip from Auckland depending on where you live.

Will leave around 2PM on the Monday (1-June).

Hi BnA,

Just an announcement about this upcoming weekend trip, we still expect it to go ahead now we are in Level2.

We are currently at a group of 10 for this trip which complies with current restrictions. However the government is expected to announce a relaxation to gathering numbers early next week so it's likely we will be able to accommodate a few more people for this trip. If you are interested or wanting to come please fill out the online form to register your interest and if the rules line up with expanding the group size I'll get back to you to confirm your place.

Will be good to get a change of scenery eh!!
