Kia ora e hoa mā!

We've got a treat in store for you all in October!  Who says you need to sit in a car for hours to get to the middle of nowhere, in order to enjoy being out in nature?!  Who says you have to own a mountain bike, or some flash-as tramping gear to take part in BnA adventures?!

This is a BnA event for everyone  :)  Coming up on Saturday 12 October, we'll be hanging out at one of Auckland's hidden gems - Oakley Creek in the heart of Avondale.  We'll be helping with practical restoration work, organised by A Rocha - taking care of one of Auckland's longest urban streams, and the bush around it.

When: Saturday 12 October, starts at 9am, and we'll finish at midday with a lunch provided.

Where: Meet at the end of Cradock Street (down a set of stairs at the end of the road, which is one of the entrances to Oakley Creek).

What to bring: If you have them, please bring a spade or other gardening tools, and some gardening gloves.  Also, good shoes, sunscreen or raincoat and a drink.  Oh, and bring your whānau  :)  This will be a good opportunity for some community building.

A snack and lunch are provided.

Let me know if you'd like more information, or alternatively you can contact Sarah from A Rocha on 027 406 1800 or email auck...@arocha.org.

To get an idea of numbers, it would be handy if you could either click Going on the FB event, or let me know by some other means (carrier pigeon, for example).

Cheers,
Anna
