Is starting to warm up so time to dust off your camping gear!
* Destination:
Mita Bay in the stunning Mahurangi regional park, about 45 mins north of the city. As of now no one has booked for the weekend so hopefully we have it to ourselves. The campsite is right beside the beach
* Cost:
$8 Book your own camping spot please using your credit card 09 366 2000 option 2
* Travel:
Try to carpool with someone you know
* Rendezvous:
car park at the end of Sullivans bay (https://goo.gl/maps/cWRacLUFDr22). From there we will take the Mita Bay Loop track to the campsite. It’s about 1km to the campground, so no need to be too basic (or 800m around the rocks if low tide), at 12 pm. If we meet at the same time it’ll be easier to make sure everyone finds their way. I’m not sure what cell reception is like, but it is easy to find - follow the blue markers
* food n drink:
bring your own dinner, including pots, utensils etc. Don’t worry if you don’t have stove as enough of us will do so you can share (N.B. please can those with stoves all bring them!), and something to share for dessert.
* Entertainment:
if you have an awesome game, music, story or whatever bring it along. The moon won’t be bright so hopefully the stars are out
On Sunday free to explore the rest of the park are some neat walks with amazing views, water is starting to warm up also!
Any questions
