[ann] release 1.2

Glad to announce the new release 1.2 from the Bootique stable branch. While all the new and cool stuff is coming soon as a part of 2.0, this release is maintenance, bug fixes and upgrading dependencies. Some of those dependencies had CVE's published against the older versions, so upgrade is highly recommended for 1.x users.
