Something has gone badly wrong with the Boost mailing lists. Their responsiveness to new posts, as well as the need to send out mailing list messages to subscribers, has become very slow if virtually non-existent. I believe someone recently made changes to the hosting of the mailing lists, but whatever has happened they are all failing badly. Since the mailing lists are the main conduit of communication among Boost users and developers, someone who is cognizant of what recent changes have been made to the mailing lists really needs to look into this and straighten this out. Along with the very poor recent operations of the mailing lists, GMane is likewise not picking the changes to them or they are now so slow that GMane updates to messages are very slow in appearing.

Please, whoever was in charge of the changes to the mailing lists, straighten this out.

Hi Edward -

We had an outage caused my the the service provider for the emails. They were suddenly blocking our service as spam. The support group lifted the ban about 12-hours ago and we saw all of the cached mails go through.

Can you be specific about the "poor recent operations of the mailing lists". What are you seeing ... or not seeing? How long have you been experiencing the behaviour?

Thanks!

OK. Things appear to be working again. It does seem that there is a much longer delay than there used to be, about receiving notifications about new posts and one's own posts. But since the outage has been fixed I will be patient and see if the mailing lists are back to normal again.

Thanks!
