hey all,
So Amy, Bram and I have been throwing around the idea of a lotus sutra study group. I am thinking every sunday that isn't the 2nd sunday for these study groups. The 2nd sundays wills till be reserved for regular chanting and discussion meetings with the 4th thursday for potlucks.
What do you think?

Hi Boone SGI friends, study is a great idea and you are right in rhythm with the rest of the SGI-USA, so We're happy you brought it up because I have a note to myself to chat with you all about it ASAP.    Below is a link to the SGI 2010 Introductory Study Exam. The booklet just recently became available. It would be an excellent place to begin.  This is a study guide of the basic's of the practice. There is to be an Introductory exam coming up in October.   I have six of these study guides available, they are $2.14 each.  I have six available, it was all I could get at World Peace Prayer Meeting this past Sunday. I am interested in taking the exam. I have been reading the sutra discussions I mentioned to you before, as well, a translation of the lotus sutra - not SGI - but interesting. I guess I will wait for SGI to come out with the new guidelines in december. Thanks for the information. By the way, great to see you in Charlotte. I am making a comittment to attend the Sheraton event whenever possible, which should be mostly all the time.
