Hello everyone!
The RE committee is planning to do our annual river clean-up this Sunday the 29th after the service! We are hoping to get as many kids involved as possible too! However at least one parent will need to accompany their kids! Grandma Pat and I are asking that everyone bring a bag lunch for their family group and we will picnic either before or after we clean. We don't have a huge section of the river, but it will probably take us around 1-2 hours to clean our portion. If anyone from the past clean-ups would like to correct me on that please feel free!
So with that being said we will need to get a head count of those who want to go. This isn't a MUST but if you want the town to provide you with gloves then I'll need to know by tomorrow lunch time.
Then the second thing we need
to make this happen! We will NEED someone with a truck who can help me pick up the canoe on Friday between 12 and 4, then go to the river with us to bring it there and back to the church, AND help me get it back Monday afternoon between 12 and 5. This is a must to make this happen as we are actually responsible for the river, not the green-way trail itself. But too, it will be great for most people to pick up trash along the river bank. Especially the kids. The canoe will have room for probably only one more person, if that. But if people are willing to get in the river, as (I've herd is a necessity) then that will be great! This is also another reason parents MUST come with their children to supervise them!
The town will provide trash bags, gloves, and canoe. If we need anything else we will need to bring it!
So please contact me ASAP if you are interested in helping and lets make this a wonderful afternoon
for the kids!
Blessings and love all!
