Y'know those dreams where you are sitting in an exam and can't remember how you got there...

... well, last night I dreamt that I was at the Jain Temple (!) getting ready for a show in September (!!), with no idea about the song list, bass line (of course), no bass amp, equipment, or most anything else. When I decided to go home to get my stuff, we're just 15 mins from showtime, and for some odd reason, I don't have a car and so I borrow little pedal cars (of the type kids drive) from the Jain Temple (don't ask me how they had them there) and wind up @ in a building where you can drive these cars down round-and-round (like those kiddie toys). Of course this gets me no closer to my equipment and so I decide to head back to the Jain Temple and wing it with whatever is there. Of course, Siddharth and Neha now appear alongside in similar cars and we somehow navigate traffic to make it back to the venue to find a full house that's growing restive with the delay. Now would be a good time to start connecting the speakers ... if I can find a mixer in the house. Oh no! The mixer only has XLR outs and the only speakers I can find uses regular coax! No wait - there are some JBLs in the corner ...

... I think I woke up right about then.

Brrrrrrrrrrrr.

I think I need a nice coffee & another look @ that April 12th reservation @ the Mexican Heritage Plaza.

I've had similar dreams. It's a more interesting variation of the "sitting in exam hall with no idea what exam it is" one.

Of course, mine don't have pedal cars :)

@Anand - I don't think I can afford four tickets to Hawaii. Yes. Every new addition to the family means that Disney (& flight tickets) are now more expensive.

@Amit - life without wife and kids was no vacation dude. I missed them so much every day! (That's my official answer and I'm sticking with it).

@Paddu - I still have Sunil's Auchentoshan @ home. Seeya in the PM.

@Smriti - I don't have to deal with diapers. And Neha is still a mommy's girl. . Hahahaha! Though I must admit it was odd for them to inject themselves into my music-related phobias. Its true - kids do take over your lives.

@Tana - your exam experiences sound like mine. We should trade stories.

@Arun V - and I skipped other details like my feet being frozen and so having to use monkey bars (conveniently provided by a friendly onlooker) so I can could swing from where I was standing to the car. Yep ... I remembered this dream in some detail.
