Why am I not getting the Daily Report Anymore?

Customer: Hi, I downloaded this app & paid the annual fee for my 9 yr old step daughter. When I first set it up, I would get daily reports emailed to me. Why don't I get them anymore?  I've updated both of our apps incase that was the problem, but it hasn't changed anything. 


Tech Support:

We have not been collecting app usage for some time on Kelly’s device.  Can you open Parental Board on the Kelly’s Device?  Is it asking for the Accessibility Permission?  Once you grant it that permission, then can you further test:

 

  1. Restart the device.
  2. Open Boomerang – is it again prompting for the Accessibility Permission? What we want to test for here is if something is ending our permission; the usual culprit here is aggressive battery optimization that kills services and if that is so, then we need to exempt Boomerang from battery optimization.
  3. Since you have the "Block Browsers" policy checked, try opening Chrome – it should be blocked. Is it?
  4. Open SPIN and go to cnn.com.
  5. Open Boomerang and click on the 3 dots and then Update Status.  This forces the device to check into our server.
  6. Go to the web management dashboard https://app.useboomerang.com/My and view Browsing Tab – is cnn.com there? Then go to the Applications Tab and then Application Usage: do you see SPIN for a few seconds?

 

If all is then working, the Daily Reports will start up again.
