Crooked House is a detective novel by Agatha Christie, first published in 1949. It is set in a large, sprawling mansion called "Crooked House" and follows the story of Charles Hayward, a young man who has been invited to the house to solve a murder that took place there. The victim is the wealthy patriarch of the Leonides family, who lived in the house with his children, grandchildren, and various other family members and servants. As Charles begins to investigate, he realizes that almost everyone in the house had a motive for killing the old man. The plot is full of twists and turns as Charles works to uncover the truth and solve the mystery of the crooked house.
