How long did it take?
The idea came from the concept of a world without men. That has no drama, so, it twisted to become a story where all the men had been killed. The original Idea only had 4 men survive, the science said "no" even though the Cleanser could have done it. Then I began looking into extinction level events, the 5+ times that humanity came Thaaaaaat close to being wiped out in our collective human history. The idea that conscience beings could be totally wiped out became the premise of it. But, 14 years ago, my wife-to-be told me to at least write down the basic idea and work on it later. Work work work work thanks covid, time off work and suddenly nothing to do, I gave it a go. Voice to text technology helped with my dyslexia and voila. Gardeners. Hope you like it.
