Hi all,

All of a sudden I lost all my bookmarks. I only have the 2 I created
today.

How can I restore my bookmarks?

I don't remind deleting 20 bookmarks today...

Help is appreciated.

Hi,

I'm really sorry you have lost your bookmarks.

The default installation of the portlet comes with an example embedded
H2 database. This database was included just to give a minimal effort
quick start to the application and not ever intended to be used in
anger (sorry if I did not make this clear - I know the documentation
sucks!).

If you are using the default database then simply restarting the web
application or application server (e.g. Tomcat) will wipe your
bookmarks.

If you are using a more permanent backend database (e.g. Oracle,
MySQL, PostgreSQL) then you shouldn't have this problem.

I have been using this application in production (against an Oracle
installation) there are 15000 potential users and nobody has reported
such a problem to me as yet.

Ok, I got all my bookmarks back (don't know why this morning).

BUT......... my problem was with http://www.google.com/bookmarks/ and
not Bookmarks Portlet....

oh my god, I thought I was in the google group discussion of the
google bookmarks.

I'm sorry...... I am a newb.
