I have a younger friend whose husband is writing a novel 2 chapters at
a time, which he posts on a MySpace website, and shares with all the
world. All those thousands of readers critic his book with him.
Someday he plans to publish it as a real book, but he's really
enjoying this writing method.

The whole MySpace kinda thing is a little confusing to me. Networks
of "friends" you never meet -- its just a little weird. Like an e-
book maybe. I'd like to figure out how to use it though. My young
friend says if you don't use MySpace, you're not reaching her
generation. Don't know how old most of y'all are, but what do you
think about that idea?

I saw one like that on wordpress.com where I have my blog. I didn't
read any of it though. I think that right now it will be a great way
for new authors to get started and get some practice but I can also
see the whole e-book trend turning into an "anybody can publish
anything" free-for-all would probably make it less appealing to people
who want to find good reading. New writers should probably take
advantage of it while it is still a new and good thing. I noticed that
tons of people are selling business e-books. Anyone can write one and
sell it. It seem to be the "new" get rich quick scheme. That kind of
thing will dirty up the industry for young, serious writers.
