Revelation 1 material available online

Hi all,

 

I wanted to let you know that you can now get the brief summary on the meaning of Revelation chapter 1 from Apocalypse Revealed on our website – www.newchurchconcord.org/programs/programs-adults.html.  I would suggest that you at least read through this in preparation for class on September 30^th.  I’m starting the full reading from the Apocalypse Revealed this afternoon myself and will hopefully have some key passages up on the website soon.  Some key things I notice from the summary about the meaning of chapter 1:

 

1. The book begins with an image of who the Lord Himself is and that all power has been given to Him as the One God of heaven and earth.
2. Notice that there is a prediction of the eventual fall of the Christian church – what made it fall?
3. There is an introduction to the idea of a New Church that the Lord will form, make up of people who allow evils and falsities to be removed from them and who acknowledge the Lord in a life of charity.
