Hello!

Yes, it's true- ETG BookCafe will be re-opening on Wednesday September 30th!
So many things have changed in the last six months, and we have changed too!   For the time being, (at least until the end of the year), we won't be hosting any events.   We also won't be setting up for indoor dining.   Here's what you can expect:

We'll have outdoor seating, both on the front sidewalk and in our backyard garden area.  We will have a very limited food menu.  We will focus on providing fresh, tasty, organic and fairly traded coffee and teas.  We will also be selling our coffee beans and boxed tea to enjoy at home..

We have spent some time making our rooms more spacious and our aisles wider, so that our wide selection of high-quality, gently-used books will be easier to see.  We have set up some new areas, including a corner highlighting locally-made items and other new gift options, as well as seasonal merchandise.  We are still selling vinyl records.  We are now selling our dvd's and cd's at a deep discount ($1.00 per disc). For the time being, we will be open from Noon to 6pm, Wednesday through Saturday.

In the near future (probably by mid-October), we plan to start hosting artists and craftspeople in our spacious front room.  Our goal is to have 2 to 4 different vendors every weekend (Friday/Saturday).   If you are interested in becoming a part of this new phase, as a vendor, please fill out this short survey: www.surveymonkey.com/r/2CFNMLC

Also, stay tuned for our NEXT email when we invite you to drop by (just a few people at a time, so we are never a large gathering...)  to celebrate our 15 years as the Everything Goes BookCafe and Neighborhood Stage, over several days,  October 8th to Oct 10th!!  Details to come!  That celebration will also be an opportunity to say farewell (for now!) to our Steve as he prepares to depart to start an exciting new project in Sedona, Arizona.... So come by to laugh with us, shed a few tears with us, reminisce with us... And when you are here, stock up on the best coffee, teas, music and reading material you will find on Staten Island's North Shore!!

We love the large community we've become connected to over these last 15 years.. We miss seeing you and creating the community events that have been so beneficial to many folks (so we're told!).... Now we're adjusting to the new realities and hopefully meeting other needs.

We hope you are well and at peace during these unusual times we are living through.

Warmly
ETG BookCafe staff
(Katie, Steve, Nadette)
