Book Information

Title: AWESOME series

Review: This VLG series has been AWESOME so far. I hope it’s not at an end. We still need stories for the following:
Tempest/Pest: he is just begging the fates to give him a mate.
Kelzeb: he has been so loyal and true to everyone, he should be rewarded for being such a great friend
Nebulas: we can’t leave the last brother without a mate. He is too serious and needs the love of a good woman in his life
Graves and Mathias: these brothers should get their own book as well, especially Graves, he is too serious
Malachi: I would love to see this vampire get a book for a new companion/mate. I have LOVED all the series written by this author and own all her books so far.

Title: I loved it and was disappointed all at the same time.

Review: I loved it because it was sweet. It had the getting to know you, falling in love aspect throughout the whole book. No super insta-love nonsense. And the characters were all likable. And of course I couldn’t wait for Trayis to get a book. Wonderful read.

I was disappointed because it lacked the intensity of the instincts that should have driven them together. It was like a regular non-paranormal romance would have been. It has ALWAYS been written in this series by this author that once they tasted blood they INSTANTLY knew if they were mates. But that didn’t happen here.

All the intensity and passion was just not in this book. It was more a gradual acknowledgement of falling in love or falling into mates here. Like a boring hallmark movie that barely shows them falling in love but the ending is so heartfelt that you just feel all the love that was missing in the rest of the movie and suddenly it makes the whole movie worth it for those short few minutes at the end. What I call the HEA hook. It snags you in the end. Like a patient fisherman with his wormy hook.

Yes I complain, but I loved this book. The gradient development of this romance was indeed a sweet enjoyable book. It will be on my reread list. And yes there were still grammatical errors. Grrr. Enjoy!

Love love the character of this playful, overly protective alpha and how loving and understanding he is. How you connected the characters are amazing!!! From Wen to Trayis. From the book 1 of VLG to the 11 th one is so amazing. Do you know these 11 books gives me tickles of great love story!!!

I maybe old, on my 50’s but I am very very young at heart! Your stories amazes me! Thank you so much for these books. Love ❤️❤️❤️ All the character. When things at work becomes a very dramatic scene and issues of personal stuff comes out. I just put on my head phone and let the audible or Alexa read to me. I hate getting involve with B at work. This is more my safe haven.... a very relaxing loving story of being loved and being protected. One can only dream ........... right???!!!!

Title: Trayis & Shay

Review: This is a full length book in the VLG series by Laurann Dohner. I am a huge fan of Ms. Dohner’s and own all her books. She can write a very sexy alpha male that are always protective and possessive. This book/series has no cheating, no cliffhangers, and always an HEA. This book is adult themed with cussing, violence/drama, and steamy scenes. This can be read as a stand alone but reading in series order is always recommended when the series is decent. I was NOT paid for this honest review.

Trayis is the alpha of a vamplycan clan. He is visiting his brother’s lycan pack when he is approached by a young tiny lycan/human hybrid woman who wants to spend some alone time with him. Trayis is instantly attracted and having thoughts he’s never had before like wanting to settle down and make babies with Shay. He is starting to suspect he has found his true mate but only some time will tell. Shay is half lycan/half human and the lowest most submissive member of her pack. She lost both her parents at a young age and was adopted by a couple in the pack. Life isn’t easy in a lycan pack if you are half human. There are members in the pack that are disrespectful, abusive, and cruel. Shay takes a chance to have an intimate encounter with an out of town visitor and gets way more than she bargained for, being brave turned out way better than expected.

If you are familiar with Laurann Dohner than you will know what to expect in this book/series. The men are all alpha males, tough, protective, honorable, possessive. The ladies are generally damsels in distress or need a protector. It’s an old fashioned romance with a modern twist. It’s got plenty of steam but can be quick to happen and the love connection can feel a little rushed but its still great. This book was worth the read and the price. Enjoy!

Review: Where do I start? This author is hit or miss for me and this was a definite miss. First, the heroine’s backstory and current life goes beyond sob story to just plain pitiful. There’s not a single positive thing in Shay’s life - even her adopted family feels sorry for her. Who could love someone who doesn’t love herself? Low self esteem is one thing and gives characters a starting point for growth but Shay was barely a shadow in her pack...and worse, in her own mind. I wanted her to get therapy, not a boyfriend. Second, while Shay did start to feel better about herself toward the end, Trayis had no growth at all. Finally, the comparison of Shay’s pack (bad) vs Trayis’ clan (good) felt really contrived and one dimensional. Where are all the complex characters, h/H and secondary? Beyond my disappointment in all the characters, the editing wasn’t great. Skip this one. I much preferred Propositioning Mr. Raine.
