Good Day Everyone,

I hope everyone had an amazing holiday weekend!  I am following up on the below request and thank you to those who have already sent this to me or Roseline!  If you haven't sent in this survey yet, there is still time.  Please submit the survey for any schools that you work with by June 15th.  You can send it to me (psain...@childrensaidsociety.org) or Roseline (RAKI...@montefiore.org)Thank you for any help in advance!!

Hi C2P!

The School Subcommittee would love your help in a SCO that we are working to advance.

SCO 92 – By June 2016, the NYC Department of Health and Department of Education will expand their condom availability program to serve students over the age of 13 in public middle schools.

After thinking about this, we realized that we don’t have a solid understanding on if the CAP mandate is being fully implemented in the high schools.  As many of you already know, high schools are required to provide Health Resource Rooms where free condoms, health information, and health referrals are made available to students by two faculty members (one male, one female).  There must be at least 10 periods a week available for students.

The School Committee is asking if you can do a little research in the high schools where you are currently conducting programming and see if they are complying with the mandate.  It would be great if you can also take a step further and task any peer educators, youth group members, etc. to do some research in their own schools.  We are asking to provide us this information by April 30thPlease fill out the attached form and send to me.  Thank you for all of your help in advance
