Dear Colleagues,
Planned Parenthood of NYC’s Youth Programs will be hosting Be Proud Be Responsible Be Protective! 2 day sexual reproductive health workshop series for young women 21 or under, who are currently pregnant or parenting on May 1st - 2nd, 2013 from 3:30-8:00 pm at 26 Bleecker Street NY, NY 10012. This is not a parenting workshop but this 2 day workshop will provide participants with the tools and information which will help them make healthier decisions as a parent in regards to their sexual and reproductive health.
This FREE 2 day workshop series will address the role of maternal protectiveness by helping mothers learn information regarding sexual and reproductive health. This workshop will address the impact of HIV/AIDS and other STIs on pregnant women, their children and families as well as explore prevention methods during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
If you work with young women who are 21 or under, currently pregnant or parenting and are interested in participating please have them contact Jessica Rivera. Seating is limited so please R.S.V.P. no later than April 29th, 2013 at 212 965 4837 or via email at Jessica...@ppnyc.org.
Participants must bring the attached flyer on May 1st, 2013 in order to enroll in 2 day workshop series.
Food will be provided for participants as well as $4.50 metro cards (both days) and a $50 gift certificate upon completion.
Please note child care will not be available during this event.
