ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. The Family Health Center: The Positive Life Workshop (SEE ATTACHED)
The Family Center (TFC) has recently received a grant from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to implement a health education risk reduction intervention called THE POSITIVE LIFE WORKSHOP or TPLW.
TPLW is specifically designed for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and it is led by PLWHA. The intervention teaches participants how to self-manage their HIV care, engage more effectively with their health care provider(s), and improve their overall health. It is a great learning tool for newly diagnosed individuals as well as long time survivors of HIV/AIDS.
TPLW consists of seven, two and a half hour sessions that can be scheduled at our site or your site in all five boroughs at a time that is best for participants. We will be offering the intervention every month in English and Spanish and will have the capacity to bring the intervention directly to your site.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
2. SATURDAY JUNE 13th – Parkchester Recreation Annual Health Fair (SEE ATTACHED REGISTRATION FORM AND FLYER)
3. FRIDAY JUNE 19th – The Bronx Knows 2nd Annual Spring into Health Fair (SEE ATTACHED)
