On behalf of The Cathedral of St. John the Divine and Housingworks, we would like to invite you to participate in the Cathedral Spirit of Pride weekend, May 30-31! Spirit of Pride is an annual Cathedral event to celebrate LGBTQ community and bring awareness to LGBTQ issues. This year, we offer two events focusing on LGBTQ youth and providing platforms for self-expression. On Saturday, 5/30, the Cathedral hosts an evening event for youth, culminating in a “Hunger Games”-themed Kiki ball. On Sunday afternoon, 5/31, a panel of LGBTQ youth leaders and activists speak out about LGBTQ youth homelessness, using their own stories as a catalyst for a wider conversation on empowering at-risk LGBTQ youth.
