Hi,
I'm brand new to this system, and I'm excited to try to incorporate into my lab's experimental design.
I am trying to follow the basic stimulus directions from the github.io page, but I am running into issues with step 1. I cannot find a way to add a CreateWindow and BonVisionResources node. I believe I installed the most recent update with all of the required packages. I've attached a screen capture of my toolbox search, as well as a demo workflow where these nodes are greyed out. Please let me know what I can do to fix this.

Best,
Roy

Update: I installed the shaders package and the CreateWindow node is now available, but I still cannot add the BonVision Resources node. Running one of the demos where I can see that node yields the error "Could not load file or assembly 'BonVision' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

Hi Roy and welcome to the forums,

Were you able to install the BonVision package? It might be tricky to find it initially, as it is listed in the Community Packages feed, rather than in the Bonsai Packages feed. You have to change the feed using the dropdown:

Hope this helps!

Hi everyone!
I am also new to Bonvision and I have encountered the same problem Roy had: shaders nodes are available but Bonvision ones are not. I tried to reinstall Bonvision package and Numerics again and it did not work. What should I try to solve this?
Thanks in advance,
Tomás

Hi Tomás,

This is very strange. Just to confirm, do both the numerics and/or bonvision nodes show up in the toolbox at all?

Hi Gonçalo,
None of them appear in the toolbox, only shaders nodes. Should I try reinstalling Bonsai?

You can try that, but before you do just to try and debug the situation, could you go inside the Bonsai install folder (AppData > Local > Bonsai, or just right-click the Bonsai shortcut and go to properties), get the Bonsai.config file and share it here so I can have a look?

You can also try running a portable installation of Bonsai just to try it without changing the system installation.

Here it is. Thanks, I will try that.

Just un update: I used the portable version and installed the packages there, but it did not work either. I also reinstalled Bonsai in my two laptops (with Windows 10) and installed the packages, but the Bonvision problem persisted in both of them. Then, while managing packages, I also tried installing the dependencies of BonVision separately (the 3 Shaders packages, VR, Numerics , etc) before installing BonVision and the Starter pack, and that worked for one of the latpops! but not for the other one.
I leave attached both Bonsai.config files,  hope it helps in the debugging.

Hi everyone,
Finally I could make it work: I had to uninstall Bonsai and also delete every NuGet subfolder located in the User folder and in the AppData folder. After that, I just reinstalled Bonsai and all the packages, and now Bonvision nodes appear in the toolbox!
Cheers,
Tomás
