Hello!

We are trying to use the bonsai.ephys.example workflow for electrophysiology experiments. Our hardware setup is as follows: National Instruments PXIe-1071 chassis with IMEC Neuropixels 4-port card, NI PXI-8381 card with MXI-Express x8 cable, & NI PXIe-6341 X Series Multifunction DAQ.

I have gone ahead and installed all the necessary packages available from the package / gallery managers in bonsai related to Neuropixels / electrophysiology. I have downloaded and updated the Enclustra drivers.

Our chassis & IMEC card does show up under device manager, and all the lights on the device indicate that is is powered on and connected - however, when we try to run the provided bonsai.ephys.example from the bonsai gallery, we get the follow error: "Device could not be opened. Is one connected?"

I have also tried to see if openephys or spikeGLX can communicate with our hardware and they also are struggling, but I am at a loss at what could be preventing either of the programs (but preferably bonsai) to connect to our NI system. Does anybody here have experience with configuring National Instruments hardware to work with bonsai for electrophysiology experiments via Neuropixels? Any ideas why NI wouldn't be recognized by the program?

Thanks all!
