Miniscope multi-plane imaging

Hi Bonsai and Miniscope package team,

I am trying to create a Bonsai script to enable (/test) multi-plane imaging.

The idea is the following:

Externalize the EWL property and as an input to it alternate between two or three numbers.

Ideally, this would be triggered by each acquired frame.

By then saving the frame timestamps and the provided EWL for each timepoint, we could reconstruct the 2-3 different movies corresponding to each plane.

Questions:

1. Do you see any technical issues with this approach?

2. Do you think it is feasible to trigger the number alternation based on acquired frames?

2. How can I generate such alternating sequence of floats? I have been looking through the forum but couldn't find something similar.
