Hello!

I have an issue I never had before. As I do from time to time, it happened that I updated all installed packages, but now something is not working, I get this error about the OpenTK.GLSControl and that it cannot be found. I did not remove it from the system.

Do you have any advice or input on this? Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Bonsai, but to no avail.
How can I reinstall this piece that has now gone missing?

Thanks!

Hi Mihai,

It seems like you may have updated to the new Bonsai 2.5 through the package manager. There is a known issue with registration paths when upgrading to this particular version through the package manager instead of using the installer. The easiest way to fix this would be the following:
  1. Install the latest version of Bonsai from the website (it should install on top of your current version);
  2. Find the Bonsai install folder by right-clicking on the Bonsai shortcut > Properties > Open File Location;
  3. Backup (for the next step) and then delete the Packages and Bonsai.config folder;
  4. Install the Starter Pack package and any other packages that were registered in the old folder
Hope this helps.

No. I got stuck at Open File Location. The icon isn't active, so I can't click on it.
What should I do?

This means you already uninstalled Bonsai so can't recover the location this way. By default, Bonsai is installed at:

C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Bonsai

Just delete that folder and start over.
Hope this helps
