Dear Bonsai folks,
I just updated to the newest version by re-installing everything, in order to hopefully  increase the speed and capacity of Bonsai and prevent the crashing of my workflow (insufficient memory problem described last week: https://groups.google.com/g/bonsai-users/c/wWJc1yf-HBE/m/0heRQsx3AAAJ - I down-sampled my recordings, however ran into crashes after a few minutes still).

Now, after installing the newest Bonsai version I could open my workflow, which allowed me to re-install packages required for all kinds of nodes.
Unfortunately, I was not able to install System.Reactive.Core, which now prevents me from opening Bonsai entirely (I'm sending a screenshot attached). I was hoping that deleting the respective folder in App Data - Local -  Bonsai - Packages would solve the issue so that I can install it afterwards. However, with or without this folder, I don't even get to open Bonsai in order to install the package.
Error: Restoring dependency ‘System.Reactive.Core.5.0.0’. Installing package ‘System.Reactive.Core 5.0.0’. The assembly reference ‘(System.Reactive.Core, MSIL)’ has already been assigned to a different location. Consider uninstalling the conflicting package.)

I'd be super happy if someone could give me a tip how to solve this issue differently, in order to get Bonsai running again.
Thank you very much and best regards,
Lisanne

Dear all,

I’ve uninstalled Bonsai, which resulted in erasing the Bonsai folder from User/[username]/AppData/Local, but did not resolve the above mentioned problem regarding ‘System.Reactive.Core 5.0.0’ when attempting to install it (in the newly installed Bonsai 2.6.3). The ERROR remains:

Installing package

‘System.Threading.Tasks.Extensions 4.5.4’.

Installing package ‘System.Reactive 5.0.0’.

Installing package ‘System. Reactive.Core 5.0.0’.

The assembly reference ‘(System. Reactive.Core, MSIL)’ has already been assigned to a different location.

Consider uninstalling the conflicting package.

When searching for any remaining ‘reactive’ files, I found some in AppData/Local/Temp/NuGetScratch and in AppData/Local/JetBrains (see screenshot). I’ve deleted the JetBrains folder, which again doesn’t change anything, but I hesitate to delete temporary files (in AppData/Local/Temp). I would like to double-check if you think that deleting temp files is necessary or if there is another solution you would suggest?

What do you recommend should I uninstall or what would be the best alternative way to achieve installing the reactive core package? Your help would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much and best regards,

Lisanne
