Unconditional Love is Devotion - Baba

 

I was sitting by His Lotus Feet inside Interview Room. Swami suddenly asked, whom do you Love  the most? This sudden enquiry made me dumb and I could not talk or respond. Swami went on to talk.

 

“You loved your mother, because she was your mother. You loved your father, because He was your father.  These are conditional Love. When you grow up you get married and you start loving your wife. The intensity of your Love towards  your parents gets reduced. And later, when you beget  children the intensity of Love is shared by the children. So your so-called love is not constant. At the end of your life when you leave this world, everything is gone. You take birth  somewhere in another life, and you are bestowed with new parents, new wife, and new children. Everything changes.

 

But your Love towards God is constant, throughout your life and even in your further births. In this Love there is no condition. You love God, because.....? No answer. You just love god unconditionally. Realising this we should develop extreme Love towards God. Everyone should become A gopa or Gopika. This extreme Love to God is known as Devotion. This Love for God should be unconditional”.
