Time to Renew Your BQC Subscription

Fellow Quizzers, Subscribers Past and Present (and Future!)

A couple of weeks back, after the conclusion of what I thought was one of the best attended Mumbai Quiz Festivals of all time, I got a question from a young quizzer in another city on how the Bombay Quiz Club manages to host the MQF year after year at Nehru Centre, with the richest prize purse among quiz clubs in the country, and free lunch for participants. My answer was quite simple - it is thanks to people like you!

So, at the onset, a huge note of thanks to our 250+ subscribers and life members who have kept us up and running through 2025-26. Your generosity helped us move to Nehru Centre for our 2 MQFx events (Cinema and Sports) in addition to MQF, and organise here in Mumbai all major written quizzes set by other quiz clubs in India and across the world (including what is probably a globally first simultaneous run of 2 different written quizzes at the same venue). But most importantly, you inspired us to ensure that we did not miss a single Sunday of quizzing at Rajyog save one in May (and other than our usual Diwali, year-end and other quiz festival induced breaks) - an unprecedented 31 sessions, up from 24 last year.

This year, the plan is to not miss a single weekend at all, and we have started the season on a promising note with our calendar fully booked till June for now. And so, here we are again, requesting you to renew your subscription and get all of these quizzes in your mailbox. 

 

The annual subscription remains Rs 1,500 for the year and gives you access to all our Sunday quizzes, in addition to quizzes from the MQF, MQFx and other marque events we host during the year. And if that's not enough, there's also access to the BQC archives through a Google Group - well, the still functioning links at least. 

The membership amount for undergraduate students is Rs 500, and is free for schoolgoers upto Class 12.

Before you make your payment though, do visit the tab called List of BQC Subscribers and Life Members at https://linktr.ee/thebombayquizclub to see whether your subscription is valid for the season 2026-27. If you do not see your name there, you are required to renew your subscription. You do not need to respond to this mail with a confirmation of your payment - just ensure you enter your correct mail ID on Instamojo at the time of payment, and we will ensure you're added to / retained in the mailing list (we will refresh the list by the end of April). Your membership will be valid till March 2027.
