I checked my Bombax GUI on the webserver and found that, although
Bombax was not running, all locations mentioned [on] in the list.

Even stranger, when I removed the locations the exit method was
executed for all 3 locations...
Very strange. Nothing in the console about running instances of Bombax
though....

That is very interesting. Sometimes zombie processes still exist
which are confusing the scanning for which processes are running.
These normally disappear when the GUI app is closed. I'll look into
this.
