Heyeveryone, I'm currently trying to make songs that are in the style of Britney Spears tracks, from her recent album Blackout and her new album The Circus. Does anyone have any tips or help on any Logic synths or any other sounds i could use to make Britney sounding tracks?

First, write a good little hook. Make sure it's not blatantly 4/4 and have some meter changes within it. Don't use too many notes and don't just make small steps within a scale and have it be very rhythmic.

Keep it upbeat and add some backing stuff that's just on the verge between melody and chord structure then write a good melody and you're there. Write accompany parts that are softer (verses) and harder (bridge).

Write the melodies for all the other parts, then focus on making the most important part of it all in this type of stuff: The Pre Chorus. It should be used to add some pizzaz and really bridge the verse and chorus together and it's always wise to add some start/stop parts to further distinguish it.

The songwriting is far more important than the sounds you're using. What synths are being used totally differ but try to write as if you were writing for 8-piece band with all accompanying parts. When making leads, use the modulation wheel and pitchbend alot to accentuate the flow and rhythm. The only must-have sound is strings for rhythmic chords. It's a good pick because of how well they can fill the sonic spectra but you need to write it as if you were writing for an orchestra, using atleast 4 tracks and different patches.

Haha yeah i wish that was the case.. I'm from sweden and I have to say that the only britney spears songs that has made me go a bit "wow, this is actually someting special" are the ones not made by scandinavians.
