Comet number 118

Comet 118P  was discovered by the celebrated comet-hunters Carolyn & Eugene Shoemaker and David Levy back in 1991. It was their fourth joint discovery and they went on to find several more, including D/1993 F2  which famously impacted Jupiter in 1994.

This one is numbered 118 in the catalogue of periodic comets and coincidentally is the 118th comet apparition which I've detected!
It's well-placed in the constellation of Cancer, but only 13th magnitude, so I needed to use my bespoke "invisible comet" process to extract it from my data:

This is a stack of 76x 1-minute from the Mx716 camera on my C8 operating at f/3.5.
