Solar eclipse, 12-Aug

I observed the event from my front doorstep, using (home-made Seymour film) glasses. Then from the front bedroom window, I used a colander to project multiple images onto a wardrobe door.

Meanwhile, I'd been following the progress of the Moon's shadow from weather satellite images, which I've now made into a video:

Then my friend Steve Macdonald produced this mosaic from the pictures which he took from his back garden in Breightmet:
