Dear Boltek Linux Programming members, Boltek people and StormForce
developers.
Surely some of you know about this issue because you have been asked
before. But I will explain it and hope somebody can help us.
We purchased a Boltek Stormtracker and tested it in a PC with Windows
XP and NexStorm. It works fine, the software displays strikes and when
comparing with GOES and LIS output, it seen like is doing it right.
With this, we know the installation procedure was successful and the
stormtracker and the PCI card are working well.
Next, we installed the PCI card in a pc with Debian GNU/Linux (6.0.1).
We installed the driver and Stormforce. But Stormforce is only showing
noise. If we make a telnet or Netcat to the PCI port we only see this:
$WINLN*FF
$WINLN*FF
$WINLN*FF
$WINLN*FF
and sometimes a $WINST*FF
But never a $WINLI (I understand this means strike).
So our guess is that it's not the Boltek Stormtracker, or the
Stormforce software but the Linux Driver who is giving us problems. We
know the PCI port is ok, because we've used other ports and is the
same.
If somebody could help us, we will be very grateful.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
