Inform Management Console (IMC) is the Management Software which we use to manage the HPE 3PAR storage arrays. IMC provides the Graphical User Interface (GUI) console through which management tasks become easy for system administrators. You can also use the Command Line Interface (CLI) options like PuTTY, 3PAR CLI etc. to manage the 3PAR arrays.

This release note provides information on the new features, fixes for HPE 3PAR StoreServ Management Console (SSMC) 3.4.1.0. SSMC is a standalone product that installs as a single package. It consists of two consoles: the Administrator Console and the Management Console. The Administrator Console allows you to add, disconnect, remove, and upgrade HPE 3PAR StoreServ systems, and to manage certificates for 3PAR StoreServ storage arrays. The Management Console provides access to the features you can use to manage 3PAR StoreServ systems.
HPE recently released a new version of its management tool 3PAR arrays, called StoreServ Management Console 3.6. The latest version is visually not much different compared to previous versions but its engine to process data has been improved.
You click Set Credential button and save a password for the administrator account. The next step is to login to the Administrator console and connect the SSMC to your 3PAR arrays. Once you login, you are presented with a Storage Systems view with no systems connected. To connect your 3PARs, you use the Actions button to add the arrays. Once the arrays are added, the SSMC begins the process of connecting the arrays to manage them.
Double click Allow log on locally and add the .\hp3parssmcuser account to this policy. Once you save the permission in the policy, you may go into Services and start the HP 3PAR StoreServ Management Console Server service successfully.
