I have been using the free version but since you can now change the default browser I upgraded to premium. That didn't stop the ads on Chrome. I looked here and it said I needed the pro version. Bought that. Still doesn't block them in chrome. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have them as the VPN now. I did what it said, put on all the filters, what is going on?
AdGuard Android it's basically unusable for me, it causes Chrome to hang when loading pages. It's immediately fixed if I go to chrome://net-internals/#dns and clear the cache and flush sockets or pause and resume AdGuard. But then hangs again after a couple of minutes.
On iOS neither the Firefox nor the chrome version works for me. Firefox Version Never seems to actually download any filters and the chrome version does show a filter rule count but does not actually apply any of them as far as I can tell.
for sometime chrome warned me about a compatibility problem with the Eset internet security and asked me to remove it (of course i didn't)
but yasterday (30.8.18) it start to make problems with one site (and it will be probably with more) that it didn't do those problems on him before. (with ssl/tls anabled it's sometime blocking it completly and even with out him it cousing problems. it's on Chrome like i said. here's a video to see it:
And with adguard it's even worse. pages crashes on every browser & causing to Eset internet security to restart & also my windows a lot of time stuck after that, and i need to restart it manualy. and all of that started also yasterday. so something changed during that day and i have no idea what. (for now i disabled Adguard and also report to them those problems On side that those problems are because of their side) here a video to see it:
After you download the crx file for AdGuard AdBlocker 4.2.240, open Chrome's extensions page (chrome://extensions/ or find by Chrome menu icon > More tools > Extensions), and then drag-and-drop the *.crx file to the extensions page to install it.
ad 1) what kind of information is missing?
ad 2) not possible, adblock provides only a blocklist for different dns backends (there is no additional dns daemon running in the background like adguard). IP based views by dns backends are not supported yet widely - only bind support that if I remembered correctly. Just setup different dns instances or hardcode other non-local DNS on certain clients.
ad 3) that has nothing todo with adblock, that's just a feature of the used dns backend.
Well. I don't know about adguard (except for its lists), but thank you very much for sharing your knowledge over time. I can confirm that using UB in hard mode you can both have most (not all) of your current social media requirements, while allowing you to surf with relative privacy.
