Good afternoon Lady V's,

 

This is a message to summarise what we discussed yesterday in the hope that nothing was misinterpreted nor left out and also to keep updated those you couldn't make it.

 

MONOLOGUES ALREADY DISTRIBUTED:

 

Shanna - THE FLOOD

Lisa - I WAS THERE IN THE ROOM

Sonia - THE WOMAN WHO LOVED TO MAKE VAGINAS HAPPY (with the collaboration of us all for the moans if Julia doesn't change her mind)

Giorgia - MY ANGRY VAGINA

Lottie - BECAUSE HE LIKED TO LOOK AT IT

Angie - THE VAGINA WORKSHOP

 

*Patricia - RECLAIMING CUNT (* Patricia is also dealing with the choreography for this monologue + for others too)

 

Eleonora and Emanuela - MY VAGINA WAS MY VILLAGE (Lottie and Patricia with movements + eventually voiceover in Italian)

 

Serafina and Letizia - HAIR (in Italian) (The two girls aren't aware of doing this monologue so they would have to agree once they have read it)

 

Irene - HAIR (it was read in English but she is unsure whether to do it or not.  It could be balanced with Serafina and Letizia in Italian and Irene in English.  The three ladies need to think about this). 

*Irene is dealing with the music for the whole show.

 

An introductory song at the beginning of the show: Quello che le donne non dicono - F. Mannoia.  For the closing song Irene to think about it, or if anybody has any ideas please put them forward.

It was agreed to do a "happy ending".  Hey it just came to me:  "We are the champions" F. Mercury (we'll keep on fighting to the end).....

 

We also talked about meeting in small groups to rehearse and memorise the lines.

Giorgia and Lottie are getting together and Emanuele and Eleonora are meeting up too.

 

As I am available mostly during the day, if anybody wants to meet up with me please let me know and we can agree on place and time. 

 

I hope everything is OK.  If there are any changes in the above summary please let me know or we can discuss next time at Shanna's on 13th Feb. at 15:00.

Hey everyone,

As most of you V ladies probably know, there will be a women's protest against the current media coverage of Berlusconi's scandals etc...tomorrow afternoon from 2.30 onwards in Piazza Maggiore.

I plan to take part (this is my first protest ever!) and so I'll be late for rehearsals.

How about Lisa, Serafina and I meeting at 3 pm (somewhere) and then when the others have finished protesting catch up with us.

Have no idea where we can meet though. There is no point in you coming all the way over to my place, when I have shall be going later to Bologna.

ok, my mistake... i know patty had said 4... andi guess that just stuck.
also edna isnt coming til 430-5...
this IS probably more important than street protest (altho...if we had our posters/dates/place ready, it'd be a marvellous opportunity to ADVERTISE!)... I feel like I should make an appearence at the march, since i have been pushing it on facebook, and my kids will be here to let folks in if i am not back at 3 sharp...so i say, here at my house and i will get there soon (or not go at all)
