Hi everyone!

Bollywood is known for fantasizing, often made fun of for being completely unrealistic, and sometimes just paints the perfect romance picture that I've grown up to imagine happening for myself - but everyone knows it almost always never really happens. Being a Bollywood fanatic, sometimes I let myself get swept away in the idealistic pairing of an actor and actress in the movie, and I - like many others - start to imagine that this actor and actress would be perfect for each other in real life itself! Come on, we all did that when it came to SRK and Kajol - right?! They were the picture perfect couple representation of love, even though we all knew they married other people. It was their screen dynamic that got to us - or at least to me!

This week, I want to pick out the movies/songs that convinced me that the actor/actress in it would actually be perfect in real life. Step into this fantasy world, will you?

"Essentially Painting the Best Love Stories"
Couples that convinced me on screen that their love story is real, and one to be told to the world.

Ranveer & Deepika
As many of you may know, the love of my life (Ranveer) is in love with another woman - classic, right? I almost hate to admit that Ranveer and Deepika are truly picture perfect on and off screen. Their first movie together was Ram Leela - a.k.a. Bollywood's Romeo and Juliet. Their chemistry was perfectly captured, and truly felt natural.

Deepika revelaed in early 2015 that she had been battling depression, and Ranveer himself suffered from depression around the same time. While they didn't let the public know for a while, they confided in each other - and in addition to medical help, they were able to confide in each other. In their upcoming film together - Padmavati - Ranveer takes on a pretty dark role, which he himself stated to be one of his most challenging characters. Like almost every other character he's played, he really got under the skin of the character, so much so that he has been seeking medical help to overcome the similar dark feelings he experienced back in 2015. Similarly, Deepika's character's commits suicide at the end (according to the story of Rani Padmani), which was very hard for her to play considering the mental battle she faced in 2014/2015.

It's so easy to look at the public face of this couple, and look at how epic they are together. We often see the Instagrams, the tweets, the articles on Buzzfeed about how they are #Goals. However, ti's hard to miss the actual depth of their relationship that is so idealistic. True love is when you're there for each other through thick and thin. So for that, and in many other ways, they give each other a sense of happiness and belonging. For that - Ranveer and Deepika, you are goals!

Movies Together: Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Finding Fanny, Padmavati
Thank you, Sanjay Leela Bansali - for bringing these two on screen together!

Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol
While they are not really together in real life, I think these two were the first couple I looked up to growing up because of their on-screen, epic love stories. They're always known as the classics - Diwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, My Name is Khan, Baazigar, and most recently Dilwale. I don't think anyone can deny the iconic image they've set for the 90's babies generation.

Sometimes I wonder, when you have that much chemistry with someone on-screen - how that affects your relationship with the one you're actually in love with! For example, Kajol mentioned in an interview that SRK and her husband Ajay Devgan aren't necessarily friends. Interesting, no? Also I wonder what it would be like to shoot a love story with someone you didn't even remotely like! Luckily this has changed for the better, but apparently Kajol and SRK were not a fan of each other when they first met...Again - interesting, no?

Here's a theory for you to think about, and that I will definitely touch on more in a future issue: Varun and Alia are easily this generation's SRK and Kajol. Let me know what you think!

This Week's Favorite 7
From the movie that has epic, maturing love between Varun & Alia

From the movie that has memorable, legendary love between Ranveer & Deepika

From the movie that has realistic, familial love between Rani & Saif Ali Khan

From the movie that has generational love between Priyanka & Shaahid

From the movie that has love with no boundaries between Akshay & Ileana

From the movie that has inspiring love between SRK & Kajol.

From the movie with awkward on-screen love between SRK and Deepika, the age gap is too evident and weird.
Here is this week's playlist on YouTube recapping all the songs from above!
