Black Rock City is coalescing. Around the world, wild ideas are coming to fruition and creative beings are feeling the gravitational pull of a radiant desert metropolis.

Let's get dusty. The Main Sale for Black Rock City 2026 tickets is Wednesday, April 29 at 12pm PT. Pro tip: register in advance to jump right into the sale when it opens. This will give you the best chance to score the lowest-priced tickets.

Get started here. Black Rock Rangers are recruiting. The Renewables for Artists Team can help convert your project to solar. Burner Express Air begins booking flights May 1. If you're in the Bay Area, find a camp, project, or campers and helpers at Camp Speed Dating on May 14. Want to build the 2027 Temple? Proposal submissions open April 30. Bring your art, mutant vehicle, or camp questions to May office hours. Plug into all of it, below.

Register Now to Get Black Rock City Tickets in the Main Sale April 29

Get ready. People are gathering in backyards, basements, and art spaces everywhere, creating astonishing art, connective experiences, and mind-bending mutant vehicles. A vibrant desert city will blossom for just eight days this summer — an ephemeral experience with unlimited possibilities. 

The Main Sale for tickets to Black Rock City 2026 is Wednesday, April 29 at 12pm PT. Registration for the sale is open. By registering now, you can jump right into the sale on Wednesday and grab the lowest-priced tickets.  

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Open to everyone!
  • 💥 There's an interest-free payment plan!
  • Ticket sale starts April 29 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET / 9pm CET
  • Prices: $550, $675, $775, $975, $1,500, $3,000
  • A limited number of $550 and $675 tickets will be available while supplies last
  • Vehicle passes: $165 each
  • Maximum 2 tickets + 1 vehicle pass per purchase

Burner Express Air Flight Bookings Open May 1

Burner Express Air (BxA) is the flight service that transports participants to and from Black Rock City. For 2026, flight bookings open May 1. Flights will depart from Reno, the Bay Area and Southern California. Travel dates begin Wednesday, August 26, and continue through Monday, September 7. You must have a Black Rock City 2026 ticket to travel on BxA!

Become a Black Rock Ranger — Applications Open Until April 30

Black Rock Rangers are participants who volunteer in service of the safety and well-being of the community. Do you enjoy helping people while strolling the city, checking out art, and interacting with participants? Become a Ranger! The application window will remain open until April 30, 2026 or until Rangers receive the maximum number of applications, whichever comes first.

Black Rock City 2027 Temple Proposals Open April 30

Burning Man Project is pleased to announce an evolution of the Temple Grant Program, designed to better support Temple artists and strengthen this special tradition in Black Rock City. Beginning with the 2027 Temple, the timeline is starting earlier, giving the selected artist approximately four additional months to develop the design and plan for this ambitious project. 

Proposals for the 2027 BRC Temple will be accepted starting April 30, 2026, with a submission deadline of June 4, 2026 at 5pm PDT. If you’re interested in applying, please join one of the virtual Q&A sessions with Burning Man Art department staff and key Temple stakeholders. Ask us anything and learn what goes into a strong proposal.

Switch Your Camp or Art Project to Renewables with Help from the RAT

The Renewables for Artists Team is a passionate, all-volunteer community that helps artists and camps power their projects with renewable energy. The RAT is currently recruiting mentees for Black Rock City 2026. If your crew is looking for guidance switching from fuel generators to solar or another renewable power source, reach out!
