While Demian was off exploring Germany, I was at the Jersey Shore, which is definitely one of my favorite travel destinations. In terms of absolute favorite I am going to go Italy. I only went once but it was so amazing and I cannot wait to go back.

I just got home from DC, which is now one of my favorite cities. However, I went to Rome a few years ago, and it was definitely the best place I have ever been! After taking Latin for 8 years, I certainly plan to go back someday :)

I'm currently in Germany right now (Berlin) and have been for most of the summer, but my favorite travel destination is Hungary. I have a few family members who live out in the country as well as in Budapest, so I've been fortunate enough to see both areas. I'm looking forward to visiting the country again (hopefully next week!); despite the the at-times (heck, most-times) difficult language barrier, I find Hungary to be insanely beautiful and an incredibly interesting place to visit overall.

Demian, where in Germany were you?

Unfortunately, I have never been outside of the country.  The coolest place that I have traveled to is New York.  Next year, I will hopefully be going to Quatar and Dubai in the Middle East. One of goals before I pass is explore the countries of the Middle East and southern Europe.

I have had the opportunity to travel to Europe. The coolest place that Ive been too would have been Madrid. Spain won the EuroCup when I was there, and so you can only imagine the fun we had!

Besides traveling internationally, I would have to say hands down Chicago is the best.

My favorite travel destination is Washington DC. I'm here for a summer internship and it's a beautiful city with so many areas that have interesting histories and cultures. It's a completely new experience whether taking an afternoon stroll in Georgetown, relaxing on the grass on the National Mall, or visiting monuments settled across the area.

This is the city that makes such vital decisions and people always seem so active in the political process of our country. DC exudes patriotism and activism that I can only compare to some political/historical Disney World (A place that is detailed with beautiful museums and architecture but still deals with hard-hitting truths and corruption on the inside.)

I was really young when I went to this place but I can still remember how much fun I had. London is by far the best place I've ever been to and I'm looking forward to being able to study abroad there next year! Being a New York City gal, I can say that, London is by far NYC's doppelgänger :)

What an appropriate thread, since a lot of people seem to be traveling right now (I'm writing this from Kapa'a, Kauai :)). Last year I went to India, which was absolutely insane...yet somehow I'm fascinated by it and can't wait to go back.

Can't wait to meet you all and hear more awesome stories!

My favorite place has definitely been my study abroad trip to East Africa this summer. Such an amazing beautiful place, my first time on the African continent, and I adored it- the landscapes, the people, and more. DC (where I'm from) is my favorite city though in the U.S., of course I'm a bit biased :-)

Hey!

My favorite place hands down is Guanajuato, Mexico.  While I’ve been to Mexico many times, this was the first time I experienced what the country was really like outside of the tourist environment.  The homes, the culture, the atmosphere..all of that was exciting and vibrant!

In terms of the US, honestly any city with a chick-fil-a in it is good with me!

Hi everyone,

I'm actually in Hong Kong this month - it's awesome! I got to see a huge protest over a visit by Hu Jintao and then fireworks over the city. My favourite city ever is Paris, though... I stayed there for about a month last summer, living in hostels and drifting about with other travellers.

And I'm with Ashley, Washington is one of the coolest cities in the US hands down. I love living there :-D

I haven't spent too much time abroad. I've traveled some in the Caribbean and Mexico. I was in New Orleans earlier this summer for a journalists convention. N'awlins, as I should say, is loaded with lots of culture, talented people, and great food! I can without a doubt say that it has been my favorite place to visit so far (probably with Chicago as a close second)!

I would have to say the best place I ever traveled was Southern France/ Bordeaux. I went there on a summer foreign exchange trip two summers ago and lived with a family out in the countryside of Bordeaux, in a little town of Libourne. Everything from the vineyards, the laid back lifestyle, and the days spent riding my bike through the old villages or swimming all day was so much more peaceful than my usual busy lifestyle.

Plus, where I stayed was a beautiful, historic chateau in the vineyards, can't get much more French than that. I really miss it and can't wait to go back to study abroad next fall. Also, the food was so good and so healthy for you. Whenever I want to relax I always still try to remember those days. Furthermore, I got to stay in an 11th century castle for a couple of nights with a moat and everything. I had such a great experience, plus I learned so much about the country, language, and culture. It was truly a place I will never forget.

Best wishes,

Mark Supinski

Do you guys thinks that host families make or break the experience? Also, how did you guys get to travel? Through school, family, community service, etc?

I hope we can do a lot more traveling in the future. :)

Hello everyone,
For me, Disney World is one of the coolest place I've traveled to. I enjoy it so much, that I've vacationed there 10 times so far! My 2 favorite amusement parks would have to be Island of Adventures and Magic Kingdom.
With the cotton candy pink, sky blue and lemon yellow aesthetics of  Dr.Seuss Land, I feel like I have jumped into the fanciful-genius mind of Theodor Seuss Geisel himself. Magic Kingdom has quite a fanciful firework show and the night time parades are always magnificent.

All the best,

Hey y'all,

I think my favorite place of all time is Tokyo, Japan. Having lived near there for a couple years, i've spent a good amount of time visiting areas around the city. It's both beautiful and modern at the same time and has some of the greatest Japanese food i've ever tasted (Think awesome sushi and sashimi). Plus if the city life is a little too much, you have the added benefit of visiting Mount Fuji for a hike and several of the traditional hot springs which are pretty legit in my opinion.

tl;dr Japan is a pretty cool place to visit. Would recommend. Look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Udaipur, India, a beautiful city filled with lakes, palaces, and mountains, has come to become my second home, and one of my favorite places (we visit just about every summer--heading there next week!) The coolest place I've traveled  is Beijing! The history goes back so far
and the Great Wall (in addition to all the other palaces and places) is
absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, the pollution is pretty bad, so
much so that it looked foggy a lot of the time. Luckily, during my
stay, it SNOWED! This was cool not only because it was the only snow
Beijing had seen all year, but because it dragged all the pollution
down so the skies were clear and you could really see the city. I
also learned bits of Chinese which was awesome!
Hope everyone is enjoying their summers :)

Wow, I've read just about every response to this email. I'm so jealous! When I was eight I developed a fear of flying, so I haven't traveled much since then. If this flight to California runs smoothly I'll definitely make arrangements to leave the country. Clearly I’ve been missing out! Hey Everyone,

Janel I totally agree with you. My fear of flying originated at a pretty young age too. I am currently in Phoenix with some of my colleagues and president of Chick-fil-A, Dan Cathy, preparing for Chick-fil-A's cow appreciation day tomorrow 7/13. My internship with Chick-fil-A includes perks like promoting and serving customers (what we call potential "raving fans") in different American cities. My stay here in Phoenix has turned into an incredible experience despite the dry heat (115 degrees yesterday) and desert settings that I am not accustomed to. But before I forget, I want to encourage you all to stop by your local Chick-fil-A today (If you're near one) and request a hat so tomorrow you will receive free Chick-fil-A!!! Well, stay great y'all and I'm lookin forward to meeting all of you.

Hey guys,

You guys seem to have had some extraordinary adventures! I've never been abroad before, but I hope to visit Spain in the future. It is a magnificent country and the culture is fascinating to me. ¡Viva España!

But I would say my favorite travel destinations are NYC & LA. Cliche, but these cities are so exciting, diverse, and beautiful in totally different ways. The weather in LA is amazing and the life in NYC is enticing. I definitely see myself living in these cities in the future. I'm making it a goal of mine, lol.

Truly excited for August!

By the way Clinton and Chris, on Cow Appreciation Day, I didn't get a chance to indulge, but some of my friends saw some EXTREMELY interesting people dressed up to get Free Chick-Fil-A. People were definitely going all out. That's all I have to say. Lol.

Haha, Cameron those EXTREMELY interesting people were 'The Raving Fans'! It was definitely a great experience to take part in CAD festivities last Friday at the home office.  The fans may be extremely interesting but the employees in the home office take it to another level with their cow costumes.

It's video chat on steroids. Much better than Skype or Oovoo.

Oh cool! We should definitely do that. I'm assuming you need to have a Google+ account. Guess I should go make one.

Hey everybody, since I'm in Hong Kong... I'm exactly 12 hours ahead of EST. If it works out... 8pm EST? :) If not it's okay. Thanks!

Hey I just created a Google+ profile. The email address I've been using for Google Bold is through my school and I guess Google+ doesn't support email addresses ending in illinois.edu so I'm using jane...@gmail.com for my Google+ account. I'm not sure if you need to know that for the group chat or not but yea there it is. Sunday evening works best for me.
