Hi Team,

Currently I have configured my workspace on my local WAS server 6.0 running on RSA 6.0. But when I am running my application it is running fine but no server logs are appearing on the RSA console. The logs are properly getting updated in the log file on the server. I am able to open it externally in textpad and see them. But they need to come on the RSA console.

Can someone give any suggestions/comments in this regard?

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

I havn't worked with RSA. But, there are plug-ins to tail the log files. You can use LogWatcher or NTail plug-ins. These provide a view to add any log files and provide functionality similar to tail -f of Unix.

Thanks

I see it in two dimensions.

1. The log file NOT getting appended/appeared on the console. -- You might have to check on what is happening as it generally happens and your case seems to be peculiar. - May be try restaring it or reverting back to 'default settings'. Not so sure though!

2. Unable to view the log file in a continuous/improved manner as and when it gets updated (may be you have to get it reopened each time to see the latest contents). As Ramakrishna suggested you can use NTail (which simulates the 'tail' utility of Unix). Or you can use the editors like Editplus which facilitates the same by just asking you to say 'Yes' or 'No' to reload the document as it is modified.
