I'm unable to find anywhere on the McAfee app to use the activation code for the years free subscription with my new phone. I have 13 days left to complete this or I assume I shall lose the extra. Does anyone have a way to activate the "Extra" on the 1Phone 13 mini?
So someone had the great idea to have McAfee download updates. Which I understand would normally be a safe action. Now at least 25% of my computers are down. We have no way to copy and paste files, the command prompt isn't even working. The systems are going into constant reboot and we have no network/internet access. Since we can't copy and paste, none of the McAfee fixes are working. I've tried to add the extra.dat to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee\Engine but I can't paste at all. Tried the svchost.exe fix as well but nothing. Has anyone out there found a good way around this?
Use the Compmgmt.msc interface to connect to the services on each PC remotely and stop the mcafee services. then you should be able to uninstall it and reinstall clean, if you insist on using that horrid product.
I encountered something like this a few years ago when we had some PCs with mcafee and we're being migrated to Symantec. The two locked horns and crippled the PCs. Stopping the mcafee services and uninstalling it brought the PCs back to life.
Thanks for all the help everyone. I was away from my desk for about 90% of the day and wasn't able to come back and mark posts until just now. Everyone had awesome ideas but for some reason we were locked out of write capability for a majority of our files. So the extra.dat file was not able to be applied and we couldn't replace the svchost. We also weren't able to shut down the McAfee product. We had no network connectivity to allow us to do the Rollback DAT instructions.Basically we were completely shut down from network activity until the release of the new update from McAfee. Luckily our IT department doesn't update anything automatically so our machines were clean.
I am on same boat with u ..mcafee proves to be sucking us from last 1 year ....prior to that for 3 years we had comparatively less issues... i had sent mails to corporate customer care but proved to be crap so far ......
Three, I figured that with the extra speed of Vipre I could stop the logon scan that SAVCE ran, which was a PITA for me when I was working on anything, and instead move to a regular daily scan. I got more complaints about that than probably anything else I've ever done. Granted I just rolled it out and didn't educate anyone, but I ended up changing the scan time for 12 and dialing back what it scans.

I have posted a website online that has a McAfee secure certificate. The Website "ends" and a layer appears underneath it, the McAfee certificate moves with the "phantom" div. I have attempted to move these extra layer but have not been able figure it out these are the clues I have:
