The column with Term marks will show only the weighted average for that term, and the Cumulative is a rolling average for the whole course. Are there any other marks in your markbook outside Term 1 that may be adjusting the calculations?
I regarded Gitbook as a FOSS traitor, since it has all but abandoned it's open-source tool for a proprietary web app. mdBook is great (I use it for all my writing right now) but it's ultimately limited by the fact that it's written in Rust. It's CommonMark parser (pulldown-cmark) doesn't support plugins, so it can't be easily extended. So I made markbook, a tool specifically for writing entire books in CommonMark.
SM-Marks and Teacher's Personal Markbook are now online. Markbook Online is the new way to work with your marks totally from within your web browser. If you have access to Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome or Firefox and an active internet connection then you can do your markbook work anywhere and without installation. This means you can use Markbook Online on any netbook or computer, even if it is locked down to prevent adding new software.
By registering with the button below you can start a Markbook Online trial today. Login and upload some of your existing markbooks to see how it works. After registering you can add more teachers from your school to the trial by setting up login names for them to use.
It is not difficult to create one of these markbooks yourself though. To do so you will need to know how to get Excel to work out percentages, use a table to determine grades and use an equation to make the overall grades. To do so, follow the instructions below:
To help give time back to teachers and provide them with better insights into their students, we are proud to announce the new version of the integrated Firefly markbook. This latest update to the markbook gives teachers greater visibility of homework within the markbook itself.
When creating a new markbook, despite ensuring that all the imported MIS mark schemes are set to "off" (and having created just three markschemes for the school to use) all markschemes (we have about 1000) are still listed....
All previous assignments for the class and subject, should pull through into these markbooks. If they aren't, there might be an issue to report to the helpdesk. Do you want me to create a ticket for you? We'll need a class to chase down the problem.
Active mark-schemes are being displayed correctly in certain contexts e.g when you insert a new column to a markbook (using insert, not new assignment) then the drop down for this option contains only my 3 active mark-schemes. Unfortunately when creating a new markbook the list has over 1000! (mostly made automatically made SIMS).
The feedback column can be used to record detailed assessment comments for student results. Each markbook item has this column available but feedback comments are only available to parents and students when the item Type is Classwork / Assignment or Homework.
A markbook is a collection of all of the students' scores for all tasks across Hegartymaths. You can choose which classes, and which time period you want to see. You may use it to find out what your classes are struggling with (are all the algebra marks lower than shape?) or to see if a particular task caused your class difficulty. You can also see if students are missing marks that need catching up on, and see how have been engaging with HegartyMaths (skills, FixUp 5 and Memri).
